Treasures

Treasures

Nearly four years have passed since I allowed my interest in incense and aroamatic woods to develop into the serious pursuit of learning to craft my own stick incense (Senkoh). It is now one year since the first release of my works to the public. In offering my handmade incense to others who share my interest in incense generaly and in aloeswood senkoh in particular, I have learned much about the way I view my own works and how that relates to offering what I acknowledge as "my treasures" to the world. As I approach a new release of incense works, it is nice to reflect on this in writing.

Incense Kiri Bako and Brass

There are many ways to appreciate the scent of aromatic woods and whether your interest is in oils or woods, monkoh or senkoh, its easy to see that each delivers a scent expression unique to the delivery method. My collection of incense heaters might be as large as my refrence library of incense sticks. It is clear from here that my preference for enjoying aromatic woods is through monkoh and stick incense.
